You know what’s quietly one of the most useful things in my spice cabinet? My homemade seasoned salt. I know, I know — it sounds almost too simple to bother with. But there’s a reason I stopped buying the stuff in the container with the red cap years ago… once you make your own, you control exactly what goes in it, which means you control the flavor of everything you put it on. I use this on my French Fries, I shake it on eggs, I use it on roasted vegetables, and honestly if something needs a little something and I can’t figure out what, this is usually the answer. Five minutes, a small bowl, and ingredients you already have. Make a batch and keep it in a jar — it lasts for months.
