Homemade Croutons

Whether you choose to make these with butter or olive oil, this recipe is a simple way to make a great crouton!

Ingredients

SO WHAT YOU'RE GONNA NEED IS:

Olive Oil Version:

Optional Ingredients:

  • 1 Tablespoon Parmesan Cheese
  • To taste Favorite Spice (like Thyme, Sage, Rosemary)

Butter Version:

Instructions

  • Cut Bread into 1-inch cubes. (Note: About two cups total.)
  • Place cubed Bread into the Mixing Bowl.
  • Add Garlic Powder, Salt and Pepper.
  • Add olive oil or butter, depending on the style you want to make.
  • Add any optional ingredients, like spices or parmesan cheese.
  • Mix Bread until thoroughly coated with all the ingredients.
  • Place cubes of Bread on a Baking Sheet. (Note: keep cubes of Bread in a single layer and spread out so they are not touching and there is some space between them.)
  • Bake at 375°F for about 10-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown. (Note: the fresher the bread, the longer it will take)
  • Enjoy on soups, salads or even as a snack.
